Carey BBQ

We were in Rohnert Park on Saturday, for the annual Carey Family BBQ.  Andy, Wendy, Johnathan and Austin drive up every year from Orange, to stay at Andy’s parents house in Rohnert Park.  All of Scotty’s TKE brothers, wives and kids (more every year!) show up for this annual event.  We talk, drink beer, swim with the kids and just have the best time.  We always look forward to this day.  In the beginning of these BBQ’s, the boys would talk, eat, play some hardcore 3 flies up in the pool (someone always had bruises) and then play poker all night long.  Now, we eat, talk, maybe drink a beer or two, swim only with the kids, make sure they are down for nappies, then are all out by 5 or 6!  It’s so funny how these BBQ’s have changed over the years!  There is ALWAYS more babies EVERY year there!  Mama Carey is always so excited to see a new baby and cuddle with them!  Next year, it’s in Southern California and Andy and Wendy’s new house.  We are super excited about going there next year so we can make it a vacation!

Johnathan, Andrew and Jared were playing and sharing toys.  The older boys just loved playing with J.  They were so good with him.  They kept bringing over more toys to him!  Austin even sat and talked to Jared all about riding on a ferry!  It was the cutest thing I had seen!

  Scotty taking J swimming.  He got a bit cranky, so a quick swim and a long nap helped him immensely.  Jared that is, not Scott.
