We started J on rice cereal yesterday. We wanted to get him well established before he had to go back to daycare in September. He did very well. He didn't really spit it out like we were expecting. He didn't quite know what to do when we put the food in his mouth, and he did some fake gagging. He's so dramatic! But it's been a success and he is starting to get used to it already.

That was really cute. I don't know if he ate as much as he spit out.
The expressions on his face are hysterical! I see you have mastered the art of scraping the food on the roof of his mouth so some of it stays in!
love that face! can't wait to squeeze those cheeks in 2 weeks!
