7 Months

Dear Jared,

I think you have been sick for most of this month.  You’re constant wheezing and coughing has baffled the doctors and we have tried so many different medications to help you.  Soon, you will be seeing a lung specialist which will hopefully fix you right up. 

Even though you have been coughing and wheezing, it hasn’t stopped you from developing new things.  You are very close to crawling.  You get on your hands and knees and rock back and forth, but just haven’t figured out how to move.  You begin to yell because you get so frustrated because you can’t do what you want to do, and mommy has to come rescue you!  You can get to anywhere you want just by rolling and turning yourself.  Crawling just isn’t an interest for you at the moment.

You have moved through all the different kinds of baby foods and haven’t found one yet that you don’t like.  If mommy isn’t home and Daddy’s in charge, I have to make sure he feeds you some veggies because Daddy is known to just give you the fun stuff. 

You’re voice has developed a lot more this month.  We have nicknamed you “Attitudy Rudy” since all you like to do is YELL.   Mommy and Daddy know you can yell, but you don’t have to remind us of it all day long!

You still enjoy being outside and going on walks.  You had your first time in a swing at the park and only laughed when Daddy would push you because he would push you high and it would scare Mommy. 

We love you, Jared.  If we had the choice of who to pick from heaven, it would have been you.
