Dearest Jake
You are almost a 1 year old! I can remember about one year ago when I was on maternity leave, anxiously awaiting your arrival. It was a perfect day in our lives when you were born and you have brought such joy to us.
You have learned to pull yourself up to your knees and your feet this month. You get so excited and proud, but you don’t know what to do after you are standing. You don’t know that those tiny little feet are supposed to step, so you stand there, just looking around with a huge smile.
You still army crawl, but are FAST. I don’t think you desire to crawl normally, but those arms of yours really propel you anywhere you want to go.
You eat everything you can. You and Jared eat all the same things. You have no problems touching foods and shovel tons into your little body. You are our garbage disposal, as Daddy calls you :)
I can see two teeth trying to pop through. They are right underneath the gums, but your gums aren’t swollen and soft enough for them to cut! Hopefully you will have some teeth to eat your cake with next month!
Your happiest time of the day, is from about noon to 1:30. Jared is napping and you have a full belly and get the run of the house with no one to bother you. You laugh and giggle, play with anything you want without fear that it will be taken away, and no fear that you will get pushed to the floor. You’re shining personality is unveiled and we have the best time.
If we had the choice of who to pick out from Heaven, it would have been you.
