We are back from an exhausting, but fantastic week in Discovery Bay. The days were filled with laughing children, swimming, playing with cousins, wakeboarding and tubing. We tried to take naps, (Scotty and I) but were unsuccessful. Jared and Jake had the time of their lives and are already asking for Do Do, Grama, Papa, Uncle, Auntie and Joshy.
We will be back there in a week or so for some more time on the water. This time, I will remember the baby gate for the stairs.
Here’s an iPhone purge…
And here is my real camera purge…
Michelle and Andrew came up on Saturday for a visit. Andrew didn’t want to leave! Wish they didn’t. We had a wonderful time swimming and tubing. Scotty even talked Andrew into napping!
The boys got along great and really enjoyed swimming together. They had a squirt gun fight in the water too!
We were able to wrangle our kids for a quick picture.
Andrew was trying to teach Jakey to walk. It was cute…but Jakey isn’t adventurous and just sits down.
We spent ALOT of time on the deck. This was my favorite part of the house. The deck was completely baby proofed with plexi glass railing. (Mom…it took two gates to get to the ramp to the dock, one of which you had to reach over to the other side…don’t worry.)
Jake walked the deck alot. He loves his Buzz Lightyear car and pushes it around everywhere.
Jared waited for Uncle Will and Auntie Sandi to come home with their boat.
If you can imagine, there were a few moments of toy stealing, courtesy of big brother.
But Jake rallied and stole it back.
Jake spent lots of time with Cousin Do Do.
Our first time on the boat with Jared. He learned some key phrases such as “Hit it!” and “Down!” and of course, “Do Do fell down! okay!”
He spent hours on Auntie Sandi’s lap. They sang the Alphabet a lot.
Jared really didn’t want much to do with me or Scotty. All we really did was make him eat and change his diapers.
Jared rocking his new sunglasses.
The first evening on the boat, Jared got a tad tired and snuggled up with Auntie. Thought he would fall asleep, but he didn’t. And even when we got back to the house it took him about 2 hours to fall asleep!
Scotty was enjoying a night on the boat with no kids! Thanks Grandma for babysitting!
Funny story…we came back home from the water around 8:00 pm, and Grandma was waiting for us and was so proud to tell us that she got the kids to bed with no fussing or crying and they were asleep early! She was so proud and bragging! We walked in our room and found them like this! Apparently, they “fake slept” for her!
Thank you Grandma for watching them!
I really enjoyed wake boarding. I tend to hang out on the right side and learned to (if I had proper form) to lean and go over the wake and get in the middle.
Wouldn’t you know, my husband, the genius photographer, made sure he got my crash pictures too!
Yes mom, those hurt. I am finally feeling better today :) But nothing was broken and I can still take care of the babies.
And here’s a purge from the Jensen’s waterproof camera…
We are going back next week for more fun on the water. I can’t let my golden tan go to waste.
