Another Celebration

A 2 year old and a 3 year old.

A massive snow storm.

Pizza delivery and lots of Elmo videos.

A bubble maker.

Two tired mamas.

That was yesterday’s theme.  Michelle and Andrew braved the snow and came up to visit us to celebrate Jared turning 2.  We sat and talked while the kids ran circles in the kitchen and destroyed the living room with every toy we have ever owned.  Andrew picked out a truck book and a bubble maker and wrapped it up and gave it to Jared for his birthday.  I am very excited we have a new book in the house that has something other than Elmo in it!  This kid needs to be cultured a little. The boys had a great time playing and Michelle and I were able to catch up on gossip.

We spent the night at Scotty’s mom’s house in the West Wing so we can try and keep the chaos confined.  The boys did great for their slumber party and Michelle and I were wild women staying up until 9:00!  I even got a 1/2 hour of snuggles with Jared in bed this morning :)  Jared loved waking up, walking into the living room and seeing Grandma!  He was so excited!  Of course, he went straight over to the Blue Ray player and turned on Elmo.  This kid thrives on routine.

Michelle and Andrew left this morning to brave the winter storm again.  I secretly hope they are forced to turn around and then they can come back to us and play for another night!

Thank you Michelle and Andrew for coming up to see us.  We loved it!
