10 Months

Dear Jake,

You are 10 months old!  Soon you will be a toddler!  I look at your sweet personality and demeanor and can’t imagine you being a stubborn 2 year old!  I hope you are taking good notes about what NOT to do when you are 2!  You are so sweet natured.  You haven’t even thrown a tantrum when we have told you no!  But you are such a good baby that we rarely ever have to say no…just if you hear me say “Jake Michael!” then you stop what you are doing and look at me and smile. 

You crawl everywhere and want to be a part of everything.  You hate missing out on things.  Jared is starting to like you again, but there are still moments where he gets mad and takes the toy and runs the other direction.  But you both can make each other laugh like no one else.  You look at him in awe and smile.  He’s your favorite.

You prefer to eat table foods and really, besides  still having formula, that is all you eat.  You have no problem with touching food and prefer to feed yourself.  It’s nice now, that I can make you and Jared the same meals and you share :)  Your favorite is french toast sticks.  You are known to eat 4 of them just for breakfast, then I cut you off :)

You say “mama,” “dada” and “whoa whoa whoa.”  If I ask you to say “mama” you have been replying “dada” while laughing. 

You still have no teeth. 

You love the bath and have fun splashing.  You and Jared have fun playing with toys in the bath. 

You gave us a scare just last week with your sickness.  You ended up in the ICU at Renown after going into respitory failure during our trip at the ER.  You have gotten better since then and are back to our sweet, healthy baby.  On the bright side, you did get to experience your first helicopter ride.

If we had the choice of who to pick out from Heaven, it would have been you.
